Montessori Teacher ( Age Group 1-3 Years) Full Time

Your Role 

The Montessori Teacher’s responsibilities will include supporting his/her students’  progress academically, emotionally, and physically in a prepared Montessori environment, which challenges each child to reach his/her full potential, in accordance with Montessori philosophy and procedures.

You should be able to create a nurturing,  stimulating learning environment where every child feels included and communicate with parents as required. To be successful you should be a lifelong learner who inspires a love for learning in your students. Outstanding candidates can embrace creativity and independence.

The Montessori Teacher will have the following responsibilities: 

• Carefully and actively monitor the welfare and holistic development of every child
  in your care, following appropriate policies and procedures to ensure their physical and emotional safety at all times
• Developing lesson plans, independent learning exercises, curricula, and methods
  that cater to the needs of the individual child.
• Participate in professional activities designated which may include meetings, reporting to parents, planning and other professional pursuits.
• Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating learning environment where all children feel safe and valued.
• Establishing rapport and building relationships with students based on trust.
• Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like
  honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress and writing up reports.
  Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working
  Condition.

Montessori Teacher Requirements:

• Montessori Certification or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Development or related field.
• 3 years experience working in a setting with toddlers, preferably in a child-centered environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with children, parents and other staff members.
• Nurturing, calm, kind and respectful, with an open attitude towards all children and families.
• Is creative, flexible, loving and patient.
